Training description:

What is the Professional Scrum Master™ - Advanced (PSM-A) training?

Professional Scrum Master™ - Advanced (PSM-A) is an accredited training from Scrum.org based on hands-on exercises, designed for Scrum Masters who want to acquire additional knowledge and skills to support teams and the entire organization in holistic performance improvement. This is the next stage in the development of every Scrum Master.

The discussed program helps to reach a higher level of advancement, helping participants understand what stances characterize an effective Scrum Master and how to consciously switch between them. Participants will understand the differences between adopting the stance of teacher, impediments remover, coach, mentor, facilitator and change agent.

You will explore how to better serve Developers, the Product Owner, the organization and how to communicate better as a Scrum Master. In addition, you will learn what you need to do to become an effective Scrum Master. You will learn how to use the principles and values of Scrum to change the environment to one that is conducive to the development of teams working in Scrum.

During the training, each participant will be able to define the challenges faced by the role of Scrum Master, then diagnose in which areas may triumph and in which still needs development. You will leave the classroom with a set of actions for yourself and for your organization, all developed during the training based on your own participation.

Who is behind this?

Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland are considered to be Scrum’s fathers, although the approach itself is based on self-organizing teams, popularized by the famous publication “The New New Product Development Game” written by Hirotaka Takeuchi and Ikujiro Nonaka, published in the Harvard Business Review in 1986.

Over 300 Scrum.org trainers around the world every day support the development of management by organizing practical training, learning through games, workshops and effective practices.

Training agenda:

  • They make it easier, help to work out solutions, giving the team the right space, both time and place, as well as the oppressive atmosphere conducive to work on the areas of decision-making. This helps to develop decisions from the bottom up in such a way that the areas of decision-making remain among people and not the decision maker.

    Kamil Piwowarczyk
