- This privacy policy applies only to our website. Please note that if you go to another website using a link that can be included on our site, it will have a different privacy and cookie policy. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with their content.
- We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy. However, these changes will not violate the basic security and privacy principles of our website users.

Privacy policy
- Due to our website operational functionality, the following types of website users personal data are collected and processed:
- Email address, name and surname, contact telephone number, subject and content of the inquiry of persons using our contact forms.
- Email address and name provided when subscribing to the newsletter.
- First name (or nickname or first name and surname), email address, contact phone number (optional), Identifier (ID) and the content of the communication conducted by our chat.
- Data provided in the process of registering for training or other services, to the extent resulting from the structure of the form and, possibly, the data provided in the message field.
- Identifier assigned to the visitor (ID) and related statistical information about visits to our website and activity undertaken during these visits.
- Information about the fact of visiting our site and about how the user came to our site, processed using cookies and used for marketing purposes.
- Payment data – for the purposes of payment processing and accounting activities.
- Transaction history – information about the registration history for training or other services and about the progress of these registration processes.
- Personal data collected from users who used the contact form and chat are used by us to process and reply to inquiry. In the case where providing an unambiguous and comprehensive answer to the inquiry sent to us requires obtaining more extensive information, we attempt to initiate contact in order to gather the necessary knowledge.
- If the contact via the form or chat concerns technical problems related to our website operational functionality, the data are also processed to solve this technical problem or to provide instructions on how to operate the website and its functionalities.
- Personal data provided when subscribing to the newsletter are used to send messages about the activity of Valkir Academy Sp. z o.o., industry events, relevant publications and other domain knowledge messages.
- We use solutions to analyze interest in our newsletter (we measure how many people subscribe) and how this newsletter is received by recipients (how many people read messages sent by us and what is the average time between receiving the message and reading its content). We conduct these activities to improve our communication and raise the substantive value of the newsletter.
- Data collected using the training registration form are used to make reservations, to purchase a training or consulting service and to process payment.
- Information about the activity of visitors on our website comes to us in an aggregated structure (therefore statistical – we have no way of analyzing the behavior of any identified person). They are used to test the readability/usability of the page and its content, monitor how users navigate the site and which content is attractive to them. We conduct these activities to understand the needs of our users and improve the communication, educational value and usability of our website.
- Data collected for marketing purposes are used to later display our ads on websites, social media and partner channels of advertising networks offering this possibility. Collected information about users needs is also used to suggest relevant materials with substantive content (e.g. books, guides, etc.).
- Personal data we collect are processed on the following legal basis:
- The provisions on data protection entitle us to use personal data at the request of a person who potentially wants to enter into a contractual relationship with us, to the extent it is necessary to enable the conclusion of such a contract (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter b). Inquiry sent via the contact form or chat is read as the will to conclude a contract and we consider gathering information needed to develop and present an offer to be necessary before concluding such a contract – data provision is voluntary, however necessary to process your inquiry via this channels.
- We consider processing of inquiries about the functionality of our website and any reports about technical problems sent to us via the contact form or chat as legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter f) – data provision is voluntary.
- Marketing content sent in the form of a newsletter and the related processing of personal data is based on voluntary consent, which can be revoked at any time (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter a) – data provision is voluntary.
- Data collected using cookie technology for conducting behavior analysis on our website and for marketing purposes are processed on the basis of voluntary consent, which can be revoked at any time (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter a and art. 173 para. 2, Telecommunications Act – Polish law) – data provision is voluntary, however the lack of consent may affect the comfort of using some of the website functionality.
- Acceptance of your registration for training or other service via the application form is a necessary action to conclude the contract and happens at the request of the data subject (your request) (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter b) – data provision is voluntary, however necessary to establish cooperation.
- If you contact us on behalf of your employer, therefore you are not a party to the contract with us, we use your data because we need it to establish contact and cooperation with the company you represent (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter f) – data provision is voluntary, however necessary to establish cooperation.
- In the event of cooperation, to fulfill the legal obligation incumbent on Valkir Academy Sp. z o.o., in particular in the tax area (legal basis for processing: GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter c) – data provision is mandatory.
- Monitoring of registration processes for services takes place in order to improve the communication layer of the website and to detect errors and possible attempts to abuse (GDPR art. 6 para. 1 letter f) – data provision is mandatory.

- Other personal data are not transferred. An exception to this rule may be a situation in which an entity having such powers asks for access to them according to the law (e.g. court, police, prosecutors office).
- In the processing of data, the controller use subcontractors who provide professional services in the field of mass mailing (e.g. sending a newsletter), data hosting and data analysis.
- Some of the service providers used by us are located overseas. Therefore the so-called cross-border data transfer occurs. For safety reasons, however, the Valkir Academy sp. z o.o. uses only the services of reputable suppliers – entities certified in the Privacy Shield program (https://www.privacyshield.gov/Program-Overview) or related contracts constructed using the so-called “standard contractual clauses”. These are the regulations developed by the European Commission specifically to protect privacy in international cooperation.
- Personal data collected to process your inquiry sent using the form are stored by us for a period of 5 years. Data used to analyze users activity on our website are immediately anonymized.
- Data handled using cookie technology are processed for the time indicated in the tabular summary available in our cookie policy.
- Data handled for the purpose of sending the newsletter are processed until the consent is revoked.
- Each person whose personal data are processed has the following rights:
- The right to revoke consent to marketing contact at any time. Consent revocation does not have any negative consequences for you.
- The right to revoke communication consent on Facebook by changing your profile settings and deleting your Facebook account.
- The right to access content regarding your personal data, the right to data rectification and to obtain a copy of it.
- The right to restrict processing of your personal data and the right to erasure (this right does not apply when the data are needed by the Valkir Academy Sp. z o.o. to comply with legal obligations, therefore will not apply to the data contained in the accounting documentation, furthermore deleting this data may occur only in the event of previous termination of the cooperation agreement or before its conclusion).
- The right to data portability, i.e. requesting the Valkir Academy Sp. z o.o. to send a copy of your data to the indicated entity.
- The right to object to the further processing of your data.
- The right to submit a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
- Cookies consent management is done by a tool included in our cookie policy.
- Newsletter consent revocation can be done through the opt out mechanism (unsubscribe link) included in each newsletter or by contacting the data controller via the email, using an email address provided when subscribing to the newsletter.
- Please note that the above rights apply only to data that can be associated with the applicant. These rights do not apply to anonymous statistical information (GDPR art. 11 para. 2).
- Automatic actions that we exercise using information about users do not have legal effect or similarly significant effect.
